casual play
Low-stakes fun activity
Casual play describes gaming or recreational activity pursued for relaxation rather than competition or mastery.
A casual player enjoys games without investing heavily in strategy, rankings, or skill development.
The term often contrasts with competitive or ranked play: I'm just here for casual play, not trying to climb the ladder.
In board games, video games, and sports alike, casual play emphasizes fun over winning.
