snowblading

Short ski sport

Snowblading is skiing on short, wide skis called snowblades or skiboards, typically under 100 centimeters long.

The shorter length makes them more maneuverable than traditional skis and easier for beginners to control.

Snowblading gained popularity in the late 1990s as a freestyle alternative to conventional skiing: We spent the afternoon snowblading in the terrain park.
