Snow peas are a variety of pea eaten whole—pod and all—while still flat and tender, before the seeds inside fully develop.
The pods are crisp and mildly sweet, common in stir-fries and Asian cuisine.
Unlike regular peas, you don't shell them: Toss the snow peas in at the last minute so they stay crunchy.
