snap roll
Quick axial rotation
A snap roll is an aerobatic maneuver in which an aircraft rotates rapidly around its longitudinal axis while simultaneously stalling one wing, creating a quick, autorotation-like barrel roll.
Unlike a slow roll, which maintains controlled flight throughout, a snap roll uses asymmetric lift to whip the aircraft around in a violent, abrupt motion.
The maneuver is sometimes called a flick roll, particularly in British usage.
The pilot executed a crisp snap roll at the top of the loop.
