Narrow cutting device
A slitter is a machine or blade that cuts material into narrower strips—paper, metal, plastic, or fabric fed through rotating circular blades.
The term also applies to the person operating such equipment.
In manufacturing, slitters produce rolls of precise widths from wider stock: The slitter divided the steel coil into six strips.
