slavedom
State of captivity
Slavedom is the state or condition of being a slave, or slaves collectively as a class.
The word is literary and old-fashioned, largely replaced by slavery in modern usage: He wrote of his years in slavedom.
The -dom suffix marks it as a realm or condition, like serfdom or kingdom.
