ski patroller

Mountain rescue responder

A ski patroller is a person who monitors ski slopes for safety, responds to accidents, and provides emergency medical care to injured skiers.

Ski patrollers also manage avalanche control, mark hazards, and enforce resort rules.

Many are volunteers with specialized training in first aid and mountain rescue: The ski patroller splinted her leg before bringing her down on a toboggan.
