silkie
Skin-shedding seal
A silkie is a breed of chicken known for its unusually soft, fluffy plumage that feels like silk or fur rather than typical feathers.
Silkies have black skin, blue earlobes, and five toes instead of the usual four.
They're popular as ornamental birds and pets, valued for their docile temperament and broodiness. (Capitalized Silkie is a mythical creature.)
