side raise
Deltoid isolation movement
A side raise is a strength exercise where you lift weights laterally away from your body, arms extending outward to shoulder height.
The movement targets the deltoid muscles, particularly the lateral head: I do side raises with dumbbells three times a week.
Also called lateral raise.
