shadow-ban
Stealth platform muting
Shadow-ban is to block or suppress a user's content on a social media platform without notifying them.
The user continues posting normally, but their posts become invisible or harder to find for others.
The term captures the covert nature—you're banned, but kept in the dark about it: I think I've been shadow-banned; my posts get zero engagement.
