Whitelisted means approved for access or inclusion on a list of trusted entities.
In computing, a whitelisted email address bypasses spam filters; a whitelisted application is allowed to run despite security restrictions.
The term extends beyond technology: The venue whitelisted certain photographers for the event.
The opposite is blacklisted.
Some style guides now prefer "allowlisted" to avoid racial connotations.
