shadowbanned
Hidden platform exile
Shadowbanned describes a user whose posts or comments have been secretly hidden from others by a platform, without notifying the user.
The person can still post normally, but no one else sees their content—a kind of invisible exile.
Platforms use shadowbanning to discourage spammers and trolls without triggering the complaints that explicit bans invite: I think I've been shadowbanned—my posts aren't getting any engagement.
