unsuspecting
Not seeing coming
Unsuspecting describes someone unaware of danger, deception, or something about to happen to them.
The word almost always appears when the speaker knows what the unsuspecting person doesn't: The unsuspecting victim opened the door.
It carries a note of dramatic irony—we see what's coming; they don't.
