secular Jew
Ethnically but not religiously
A secular Jew is a person of Jewish heritage who identifies culturally or ethnically as Jewish but does not observe religious practices or hold religious beliefs.
Secular Jews may celebrate holidays like Passover or Hanukkah as cultural traditions rather than religious observances, maintain connections to Jewish history and community, and feel strongly Jewish without attending synagogue or keeping kosher: He's a secular Jew—bar mitzvahed but hasn't been to temple since.
