seaboards
Land meeting ocean
Seaboards are coastal regions bordering the ocean.
The word appears almost exclusively in proper geographic names: the Eastern Seaboard runs along the Atlantic coast of the United States, while the Western Seaboard refers to the Pacific coast.
Property values along the seaboard have skyrocketed.
