sandshark
Shallow-water predator fish
A sandshark is any of several shark species that inhabit shallow coastal waters and sandy bottoms, including sand tigers and certain requiem sharks.
They're typically not aggressive toward humans.
The name reflects their habitat rather than a single species: We spotted a sandshark cruising the shallows.
