ringbearer
Young aisle walker
A ringbearer is a person, typically a young boy, who carries the wedding rings down the aisle during a marriage ceremony: Her nephew was the ringbearer.
In Tolkien's *Lord of the Rings*, the Ringbearer is Frodo Baggins, tasked with carrying and ultimately destroying the One Ring—a usage familiar to fantasy fans.
