revisor
One who edits
A revisor is someone who revises—examining and correcting text, updating laws, or reworking material for improvement.
The term appears most often in legal and academic contexts: The revisors recommended changes to the municipal code.
In publishing, revisor and reviser are interchangeable, though reviser is more common in American English.
