page proofs
Final layout check
Page proofs are the final printed or digital sheets showing exactly how a document will appear when published—layout, typography, images, and all.
Authors and editors review page proofs to catch errors before a book or article goes to press: The publisher sent page proofs for final approval.
Also called galley proofs or simply proofs.
