resuscitators
Emergency breathing devices
Resuscitators are devices or people that restore breathing or consciousness to someone who has stopped breathing or whose heart has stopped.
The term most often refers to manual breathing devices—bag-valve masks that force air into the lungs: Paramedics grabbed the resuscitator from the ambulance.
A person performing CPR is also a resuscitator.
