death doulas
End-of-life guides
Death doulas are non-medical practitioners who provide emotional, spiritual, and practical support to dying people and their families.
Like birth doulas who assist with labor, death doulas guide people through the dying process—helping with end-of-life planning, being present during final hours, and supporting loved ones through grief.
Also called end-of-life doulas: The death doula sat with him through his last night.
