resolder

Fix metal joint

To resolder is to solder again—reattaching or repairing a joint where solder has failed, cracked, or been deliberately removed.

The term appears in electronics repair and plumbing: I had to resolder the connection after it came loose.

Sometimes the fix requires removing old solder first, sometimes just adding fresh.
