unsolder
Reverse metal bonding
To unsolder is to remove solder from a joint, separating components that were previously soldered together.
The term appears mainly in electronics repair and metalwork: I had to unsolder the old capacitor before installing the replacement.
The process typically requires heat to melt the existing solder.
