desoldering
Reversing solder connections
Desoldering is the process of removing solder to disconnect electronic components from a circuit board.
The reverse of soldering, it typically uses heat plus suction or wicking material to draw molten solder away from joints: I had to desolder the old capacitor before installing a new one.
Essential for electronics repair and component salvage.
