rebid

Second auction offer

Rebid is to bid again, especially in bridge and other card games where a player makes a second bid after their initial one: She rebid her spades to show extra length.

In auctions and contracts, rebid means to submit a new bid, often after an earlier one failed or expired: The contractor had to rebid when costs changed.

As a noun, a rebid is the bid itself.
