radical feminist
Anti-patriarchy activist type
A radical feminist holds that women's oppression is the most fundamental form of social inequality, rooted in patriarchy rather than economic systems or individual prejudice.
Unlike liberal feminists who seek reform within existing structures, radical feminists argue for fundamental transformation of gender relations and institutions.
The term is often used loosely—and sometimes dismissively—for any feminist seen as extreme: She's not just asking for equal pay; she's a radical feminist who wants to dismantle the whole system.
