proving
Showing something's true
Proving is the process of establishing truth or validity.
You prove a theorem, prove your worth, or prove someone wrong.
In baking, proving (also proofing) is letting dough rise before baking: The bread is proving on the counter.
The proving ground is where something gets tested under real conditions.
