Preparing for exams
Studying is the activity of learning or reviewing material, especially for school: I was up all night studying for the exam.
It can also mean examining something carefully: She spent hours studying the map.
To be studying a subject is to be formally enrolled in its coursework: He's studying medicine at Johns Hopkins.
