chromolithography
Prints colors from stones
Chromolithography is a method of color printing using multiple lithographic stones or plates, each applying a different color to build up a full-color image.
The technique dominated commercial printing from the mid-1800s through the early 1900s, producing vibrant posters, advertisements, and art reproductions before photographic printing methods replaced it.
