print runs
Books per pressing
A print run is the number of copies produced in a single printing of a book, newspaper, or other publication: The first print run sold out in a week.
Publishers adjust print runs based on anticipated demand—a debut novel might get a modest run while a bestseller commands hundreds of thousands.
The term also refers to the printing session itself.
