precuts
Sizes before shipping
Precuts are fabric pieces sold already cut to standard sizes, ready for quilting or sewing projects.
Common precuts include fat quarters, charm squares, jelly rolls, and layer cakes—each a specific dimension that coordinates with standard patterns.
I grabbed a precut bundle to make a quick baby quilt.
The term also applies to any material sold pre-cut: precut vegetables, precut lumber.
