Lifted, then dropped
A powerslam is a professional wrestling move in which a wrestler lifts an opponent, holds them horizontally across the chest, and drives them back-first onto the mat.
Unlike a standard slam, the powerslam involves the attacker falling with the opponent, adding impact and often transitioning directly into a pinning position.
The move emphasizes raw strength and has several variants, including the running powerslam and the scoop powerslam.
