powerlifters
Competitive strength athletes
Powerlifters are athletes who compete in powerlifting, a strength sport centered on three lifts: the squat, bench press, and deadlift.
Unlike Olympic weightlifters, who perform explosive overhead movements, powerlifters focus on maximal force through slower, controlled lifts.
The powerlifters at our gym train in a separate room with specialized equipment.
