poster child
Cause's human symbol
A poster child is someone who represents or embodies a cause, condition, or quality—originally a child featured in charity campaigns to raise awareness and funds.
The term now applies broadly and often critically: He's the poster child for corporate greed.
The implication is that the person exemplifies the thing so perfectly they could appear on a promotional poster for it.
