positive numbers
Greater than zero
Positive numbers are numbers greater than zero.
They sit to the right of zero on a number line and represent quantities, gains, or values above a baseline: The account showed a positive balance.
In contrast to negative numbers, positive numbers need no sign, though a plus sign may be added for emphasis: +5.
The term appears constantly in mathematics, finance, and science to distinguish amounts above zero from those below it.
