portlight
Vessel's round opening
A portlight is a small window in the side of a ship or boat, typically round or oval and often hinged to open for ventilation.
The term combines port (the left side of a vessel, or an opening in a hull) with light (a window).
She opened the portlight to let in the sea breeze.
Also called a porthole.
