Putting up notices
Placarding is the act of posting or displaying placards—signs or notices meant to inform or protest.
Workers placard buildings with announcements, activists placard intersections during demonstrations: Union members spent the morning placarding the factory gates.
In shipping and transport, placarding refers specifically to affixing hazard warning labels to vehicles carrying dangerous materials.
