placarded

Bearing visible notices

Placarded is the past tense and past participle of placard, meaning to post notices or signs on something, or to announce by means of placards.

A building might be placarded with advertisements, or protesters placarded the streets with their demands.

In some contexts, particularly regarding housing codes, a property that has been placarded has been officially posted with a notice declaring it unsafe or unfit for habitation: The condemned building was placarded by the city inspector.
