paretic
Suffering muscle weakness
Paretic describes someone affected by paresis—partial paralysis or muscle weakness, particularly from nerve damage.
The term appears most often in medical contexts: paretic limbs, paretic muscles.
Historically, it referred specifically to general paresis, a form of neurosyphilis causing progressive dementia and paralysis: a paretic patient in the asylum.
