panang
Thick Thai curry
Panang is a type of Thai curry, thicker and milder than most, made with a paste of red chilies, lemongrass, galangal, and ground peanuts.
The coconut milk–based sauce coats meat or vegetables in a rich, slightly sweet preparation: panang curry with chicken, I'll have the panang, medium spice.
Also spelled phanang or phanaeng.
