paloma
Dove in Spanish
Paloma is Spanish for dove, appearing in English primarily as a given name and as a cocktail made with tequila and grapefruit soda.
The drink is popular in Mexico and increasingly in American bars: I'll have a paloma instead of a margarita.
The name evokes peace and gentleness, as doves traditionally symbolize.
