bar counter
Bartender's work station
A bar counter is the long, raised surface in a bar or pub where drinks are served and customers sit or stand.
The term is somewhat redundant—bar alone usually suffices—but bar counter specifies the physical structure rather than the establishment: We grabbed seats at the bar counter.
Similar counters appear in cafés and restaurants for quick service.
