overfill
Pour beyond brim
To overfill is to fill beyond capacity or beyond what's appropriate: She overfilled the bathtub and water spilled onto the floor.
The word applies to containers, forms, schedules—anything that can hold a quantity.
An overfilled calendar has too many appointments; an overfilled paragraph tries to make too many points.
