slosh
Wade through puddles
Slosh describes liquid moving noisily in a container or underfoot.
Water sloshes in a bucket when you walk; boots slosh through puddles.
The word captures both the motion and the sound—a wet, splashing movement: Coffee sloshed over the rim of the mug.
In British slang, sloshed means drunk.
