outcasting
Driving someone out
Outcasting is the act of expelling someone from a group or community, treating them as an outcast.
The word appears in discussions of social exclusion and caste systems: The village practiced outcasting for violations of religious law.
It can also describe the process of becoming marginalized: Her outcasting from the industry was swift and complete.
