op
Short for mission
Op is informal for operation, especially in military or gaming contexts: a covert op, a special ops team, running ops in the game.
In online forums, OP means original poster—the person who started a thread: OP hasn't responded yet.
Op can also be short for optical, as in op art, a style using visual illusions. (All-caps OP is common in internet contexts.)
