FUBAR
Totally beyond salvage
FUBAR is military slang meaning utterly ruined or botched beyond repair—fucked up beyond all recognition.
It emerged from World War II as one of several acronymic expressions soldiers coined.
The term has spread into general use for any situation that has gone catastrophically wrong: The whole project is FUBAR.
Sometimes softened to "fouled up" in polite company.
