oldtimer

Long-serving survivor

An oldtimer is someone who has been around a long time—a veteran of a profession, organization, or place: The oldtimers at the plant remember when it ran three shifts.

It can also simply mean an old person, sometimes affectionately, sometimes dismissively.

The word suggests accumulated experience and a connection to how things used to be.

Also spelled old-timer.
