nucleoplasm
Nucleus's internal gel
Nucleoplasm is the gel-like substance filling the nucleus of a cell, surrounding the chromosomes and nucleolus.
It's the nuclear equivalent of cytoplasm—a medium in which nuclear structures are suspended and biochemical processes occur.
Also called nuclear sap or karyoplasm.
