nomophobia

Fear of disconnection

Nomophobia is the fear or anxiety of being without one's mobile phone or unable to use it.

The term blends "no mobile phone" with "phobia" and emerged in the smartphone era to describe a genuinely common modern anxiety.

Someone with nomophobia may feel panicked when their battery dies, they lose signal, or they've left their phone at home.

I get serious nomophobia whenever I can't find my phone.
